CF Subito is an independent site with free tools for the Italian codice fiscale and VAT number. It is not affiliated with the Agenzia delle Entrate or any public body.

Rules and data

The codice fiscale follows the Ministerial Decree of 23 December 1976 (Gazzetta Ufficiale no. 345, 29 December 1976). Place codes come from the ANPR historic archive of comuni (9,864 codes), the ISTAT list of comuni, and the ISTAT SITUAS history of foreign countries (239 codes), downloaded on 2026-10-23. Every change is tested against published examples, the top Google result for the same input, and thousands of random people round-tripped through the calculator and the reverse decoder.
